How often does the uptime monitor check my site?
Every minute, for 24 hours from the moment you start it. After 24 hours the monitor stops automatically - this is a free one-off check, not a subscription.
When do I get an email?
We email you once your site fails 2 consecutive checks (about 2 minutes of continuous downtime) - this avoids false alarms from a single transient blip. We also email you once when the site recovers.
Is my data safe? What do you store?
We store the URL you're monitoring, your email address, and the check results (status code and response time) for the 24-hour window. No credentials or sensitive response data are stored. All checks are passive, read-only HTTP requests.
Can I monitor someone else's website?
Only monitor websites you own or have explicit authorisation to check. You confirm this before starting a monitor, and every monitor is logged with your IP address as an audit trail.
What happens after the 24 hours end?
The monitor stops checking and its report page stays available to view, but no more emails are sent. Start a new monitor any time if you want another 24-hour window.
